Finally, someone is ready to admit what working families have known since the Democratic Party abandoned them a half century ago. It is not about the economy. Never was. If it were, Kamala would be sitting in the Oval Office right now. Instead the worst economic disaster since Herbert Hoover is sitting in the Oval Office and workers cannot flee the Democratic Party fast enough to join this master of chaos and confusion. What's up?
Shane Goldmacher and Reid J. Epstein beat around the bush in telling us so, but Ken Martin is also not the problem. (See https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/18/us/politics/dnc-ken-martin.html?searchResultPosition=1). Ken Martin is a symptom of the problem. Democratic millionnaires are shouting from the hilltops, "Please tax us!" but what the D.N.C. hears is "Move further toward the center!" Really? No. Move toward workers!
Instead the D.N.C. is tripping over itself to appease is crypto bros, even if that means eliminating even the appearance of shareholder democracy. Tell me I'm not right Chuck. And where has the D.N.C. been when the Trumpists set to flames even the semblance of privacy, dignity, and diversity for working families? Nowhere.
But now they've forced two of the largest and most influential labor unions from their table. Who's next? AOC and Bernie? Good call. Idiots.
